Ruins of Nakagusuku-castle ( Nakagusukujouato )
The ruins of a castle from the Ryukyu Kingdom period. Visitors can see parts of the old castle walls and other historical relics.
The area where the ruins of Nakagusuku Castle are located is said to be an area that suffered little damage from the war and retains much of the stone masonry from that time.
Because of its elevated location, it offers a panoramic view of south-central Okinawa.
The site was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
