Ruins of Nakijin-castle ( Nakijin jou ato )

The ruins of a castle in Nakijin Village, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa Prefecture, built around the 13th century.

It is believed to have been the base of the Hokuzan Kings during the Sanzan Teiritsu.

Today, only the city walls remain and can be toured.

At the Nakijin Village History and Culture Center, you can learn about the history of Nakijin Village, its ruins and ceramics.
